All India Decorative Veneer Manufacturers Association (AIDVMA) has suggested a price increment of 12% in decorative veneer products with immediate effect in a meeting held on 6th April in Delhi. The meeting was attended by more than 30 decorative veneer manufacturers from across India who are currently dealing with global supply chain upheaval. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Manish Kedia, President along with Mr. Alok Agarwal, Mr. Rakesh Chandna, Mr. Suresh Shah, Mr. Prakash Khetawat, Mr. Shammi Chhabra along with decorative veneer manufacturers from Gujarat, Mumbai, Yamunanagar, Rajasthan and Delhi- NCR.

As per the association, the meet was called to carry out constructive discussion, reflecting strong industry-wide engagement where the members discussed the ongoing challenges arising from global market changes, increase in the US Dollar, and rising operational and overhead costs which are collectively taking a toll on the production at their units.

Based on these discussions, it was collectively observed that there is a need for price revision in decorative veneers to recompense the production cost and members shall consider an increase of 12% with immediate effect, depending on individual cost structures and business requirements.

The association intends to support sustainable operations, consistent quality, and long-term industry stability; hence it seeks the participation and valuable inputs of a network partners to strengthen the unity of industry.
