The Industry sources report that small and mid-sized laminates producers have been preparing to unveil these economical grade laminates to take share of 1 mm laminates markets. Industry feels that these economical range laminates would be survivor in this difficult time of post covid as well as oversupply.
Market reports that most of these 0.92 mm catalogues are coming from factories located in northern India, it is reported that 25 new 0.92 mm catalogues are coming from northern India, whereas rest from Gujarat and other places. Although some factories located in Gujarat are focusing on 0.8 mm laminates to cater northern India demand, and a dozen of 0.8 mm catalogue has been introducing in post covid period.
Market experts say that Laminate manufacturing units are expanding its capacity by adding more presses, but they are looking for easy sale, which they feel that they can achieve through economical offering. Experts feel that some distributors and suppliers are also motivating them to do so, hence they have jumped into rat race by calculating the economics. Although good distributors are not in favor of promotingthese economicallaminates range, and they opined that it will damage the trade in long run.
