Skyrocketing prices of B-grade Kraft Paper have been adding the input cost of Liner grade laminate. It has been estimated that the cost of liner laminate on 0.72 mm basis has increased from Rs 15 to Rs. 20 per sheet since a month. Kraft paper producers say that due to high prices of their raw materials they are forced to increase the prices and as per report the prices have been going up to 25 % a month period. Report says that the prices of B-grade Kraft Paper is hovering around Rs. 34 per kg presently and it may go up in the coming week.
Decorative laminates industry has started asking for new prices of laminates in recent days. Yamuna Nagar Laminate Manufacturer Association (YLMA) has taken the decisive step of increasing the laminate rates due to prolonged hike in the price of raw materials.
As per the information, the hike in 0.62 mm, 0.72mm, 0.82 mm and 0.92 mm laminates is reported as Rs 15, Rs 20, Rs 30 and Rs 40 per sheet respectively. The increased rates will be applicable on all the dispatches from 25th September 2024.
