AIPMA announces price hike in Shuttering Plywood

March 5th 2020

All India Plywood Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) has decided to increase the rate of Shuttering Plywood (12mm) by Rs 3.0 per sq ft along with increment on ply of other weights in same proportion in a meeting held on 16th December, 2024 at Yamunanagar under the Chairmanship of association president Mr Devendra Chawla.

The decision to increase the prices was unanimously taken after rigorous discussions among plywood manufacturers who attended the meeting. It has been noted that increased raw material rates and high moisture content of timber aggravate the situation; hence to recompense the production cost, the increment in the shuttering ply rate has become necessary.

The stakeholders also stated that raw material is being procured on cash basis so in order to meet their payment commitments; the credit period facility provided to suppliers will not exceed a maximum of 30 days.

Both aforementioned decisions are applicable with immediate effect and no order will be accepted by any member at old rates.

It is very likely that prices will be reviewed again in the next meeting following the relentless increase in the timber prices.
